Left work early to get to an eye dr appt, whose office is basically on my way home anyway. Instead of turning onto Brown Rd after crossing Page Blvd, I continue north on Woodson Rd and the office is about a half mile up the road on the right. Afterwards, I continued on up Woodson Rd, turned right onto Lackland to Brown, where I turned left and continued on my normal route. While sitting in the left turn lane at Lackland & Brown, the motorist in the car to my right started a conversation with me about 'getting my exercise', and how he has been wanting to get out & ride in the nice weather we've been having.
As I continued my way home, I decided since I was earlier than normal, and feeling pretty good about things, I would take the long way home and log a couple extra miles. It has been a few months that I have gone this way. Usually I don't bother with the couple extra miles because of colder weather and darkness, but towards the end of the summer part of this route was closed so crews could replace the road deck over a creek by the railroad tracks where Eva meets Frost. The tracks were as rough as ever, but the 10+ feet immediately after that (over the creek) was nice - although brief.
