I picked up my bike from TTR shop yesterday with an explanation of problems they encountered with it. I took it out late this morning to put it through the paces. I took my normal route down East North to Cleveland Park across downtown to the Swamp Rabbit and on north. Although I got off on Hudson to swing by TTR. They were covered up with customers, so I headed on north. On the Furman campus a church had a group set up passing out water to joggers and cyclists. So I had a bottle of water on them and chatted with them for a while. Then I called Cis and woke her up and told her to come meet me at the Trailside Creamery for chocolate/Almond Joy twistie cones. I rode through TR and then on north and cut east toward US25 from the north end of the trail. I turned back and called Cis again to see where she was, then headed south a couple of miles and turned back to get there just after Cis arrived. Cis and I had our cones and talked with Jenn for a long time. She's really a sweet gal. While there Cis said "Look at that!" and a large group of riders came flying by the shop. It looked like the peloton was being pulled by George Hincapie. Then Cis headed home and I took off south down the trail. I got off at Hudson again and went back to TTR. I told Nathaniel what I was seeing from the bike and he made some minor adjustments and took it out for a quick spin. He said that he had greased the stem bolts, but it was still creaking some. So he took the head set and handlebars off and lubed it all and took the creaking out of it. I left there and saw Mike Davis in the parking lot at Luthi's, so stopped to talk to him for a minute. Then it was on back home. After not riding for such a time I came in with saddle sores.
