Jeff called at 9:10 from the Cafe as he showed up and 9 for our 10 o’clock ride. We took off and headed south from the Cafe. On the bridge across the river at Willard Street Jeff dead-centered the steel post that blocks cars from the bridge. He was locked to the post and shaken up but not injured. I kept trying to get Jeff to turn his steering wheels so he could back away from the post. We got him worked loose and the bike seemed to be okay, so we headed south. We rode through the parks but got off the trail to ride the Y trail. We circled the Y fields then got back on the trail. Then we turned off the trail to ride the Forest Green Trail. We were most of the way up it when we ran into two groups of about 30 pre-schoolers out walking. It took us a long time to get through all those kids. We came out and headed back down that trail and had to deal with passing all those little kids. Once we were back on the SRT we continued south and climbed the big hill by 1st Baptist Church. We turned back north there and rode to the entrance of the zoo then headed back up the trail. I dropped Jeff off above the Falls then rode north toward the Cafe. I got off the trail at Bramlett and rode over to Washington Street to ride over the hump bridge and get enough miles for a bit.
