I headed to Cleveland Park today to ride in the cooler Greenville weather. I usually stay away from Cleveland Park on Friday and the weekend to avoid the glut of walkers, joggers, dog walkers, and gawkers. But today the park was nearly empty. When I started my fingers and ears felt cold, but they warmed up after a couple of miles. The temps were in the upper 30s but that is pretty cold for Greenville. The ride turned out to be very enjoyable. The Hincapie Trail was opened again and the downed tree is laying along side the trail. I headed up the Hincapie trail to Farris then back again with a loop around the Y fields. I followed the SRT to the north end and back with another run up the Hincapie trail and the Y. Then I made a couple of loops around Cleveland Park to get over 13 miles. The Reedy is still up but not like it was on Wednesday. The Falls seem to be back to normal, which is very pretty. On Wednesday the Falls was very violent and quite impressive. This is the coldest that I have ridden since I started riding again. But I found the ride to be very enjoyable.
