More flat riding with further exploration of the Tucson Loop. Headed out on the northeastern portion of the loop along the Rialotto River. Trail runs on both sides of the river but is complete on neither side so ended up dead ending a couple of times and had to backtrack to a bridge and cross over to the other side to keep making progress. This way as with the Santa Rosa section I did yesterday rises at a one percent grade. On the way out I was also heading into a pretty stiff headwind. Did mini time trialing on some sections as I would see a faster rider ahead and try to maintain or gain on him or her. Sometimes I was successful and other times I would run out of wind and drift off the pace. Trail ended around Craycroft Rd and I turned around and headed back instead of crossing to the next section of the trail cross town on the roads. Got up to some decent speed on the way back with the tailwind helping me keep the speeds in the upper twenties. On many sections though I had to keep the speedway down due to cycling traffic as there were dozens of bicycles on the trail today. Thought about doing some extra miles but decided against it as the wind was really starting to pick up later in the day. Enjoyed this section a bit better than Santa Rosa but there really isn't much difference other than this one being a bit more twisty and rolling.
