Cold front moved through and dropped a both some rain and the temperature yesterday. It looks like the seventies have moved out of the area although today's fifties isn't too bad for December. Bundled up and decided to head south again on the loop today and see how far the trail leads. Many riders were out today despite the cooler air. Lots of activity on and near the trail as saw kids on scooters, skateboarders, roller bladers, some guy on some sort standing tricycle that was driven by twisting, radio controlled airplanes, and people playing golf both conventional and Frisbee. Just spun today and didn't do much work. Made it to the point I turned back a couple days ago and kept going but it turned out the trail ended just two or three miles further. Rode back on the trail on the opposite bank of the river which seemed to have a better surface than the east side. The trails pass under bridges to avoid traffic and found that the rain and cold have driven the homeless trolls under those bridges. Every bridge had at least one troll and a couple had two or three. Highlight of the ride was encountering a coyote walking along the trail. No sign of the roadrunner though.
