Today I drove to Cleveland Park for the weekly Sunday ride. There were only three of us to start - Kimberly led the ride, Melanie, and me. Kimberly has some chest congestion and Melanie is a new rider, so we set an easy pace. We had ridden past Furman when Bill D chased us down to ride along with us. By that time Melanie was struggling to keep up, so she and I were bringing up the rear. Her chain came off once and we got so far back that Bill and Kimberly came back to find us. We rolled on into Travelers Rest and stopped at the Forest for coffee and a snack. We sat in there for 30 minutes or so swapping stories, then we headed back down the trail. The ride back was more of the same - Kimberly and Bill would run off and leave us then wait for us to catch up. But we all made it back safe and sound and had a good time riding.
