 To Furman and Back
I'm still trying to recover from last week's crud and would still like to ride in the First Fifty on New Years so it was back to Furman and back to see what I have in the tank. I was about a quarter mile from home when I passed an older man trying to load a fireplace insert into the back of his pickup. So I stopped long enough to help him load it up. He really wanted to talk when we finished so I had a hard time getting away to continue the ride. It was colder than I thought and it was also very windy. I rode into the wind going north and could feel it pushing me back south on the return trip. It was a much better ride than Monday so I am coming back. Hopefully I'll be back enough for the First Fifty.
