 Christmas Day Ride
Today I drove to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and parked to get in a quarter. Less than 1/2 mile from the cafe there was a large blue heron standing in the river. The river is really up from the last three days of rain. I rode south down the trail through Falls Park and Cleveland Park. Falls Park was crowded with people so I rode back north taking a shortcut behind the Peace Center. I rode up the trail to Travelers Rest then turned back south. I was surprised as to how many riders, joggers, and walkers were on the trail today. I expected to be alone. Once I was back to the cafe I was about a half mile short of a quarter so I rode south a ways to finish up a quarter. When I passed over the bridge where the heron was there was a woman standing looking at the heron.
