On Bike Journal, we were asked to pick 3 most memorable bike moments of 2009. To me that's like asking: "Which of your three children do you love the most?" 
Otay, here goes (order not of importance):
(1) May 30th: First ride about 4 weeks after the livah transplant and all the seamstress stitchwork on the body didn't hurt.....much! Twenty miles but it felt so dang good to be out in the open air on the bike. All those "why I ride" feelings came flooding back.
(2) The "Unofficial Fall '09 Bikejournal Eastern Sierra Nevada Ride" www.tinyurl.com/yg2r9c7 meeting a bunch of BJer's for the first time, savoring BowWow's flapjacks, Sagebum and Gw_12's enjoyable routes and company, and being Pansy's LiveStrong twin.
(3) Seattle to Portland with my Oregon bike buds knowing I could have ridden back to back centuries but settling for bits of rides just cuz I finally could. Plus it was cold and wet and there was no way I was taking a chance on giving my new liver a cold. Nope. Nada. Nyet Nicht.
