After work I met Erica at Linky Stone park for an easy ride. Erica had to stay over at work and was a few minutes late, but we got underway after a short delay. About a mile into the ride we ran into Jim Grover and his wife walking along. Jim and I worked together at a production machine shop. I left that place 30 years ago, but I have seen Jim around town a couple of times since then. We chatted for a few minutes and they had walked from Furman to where we met. Erica and i headed on north and we turned left on Brammett to bypass the closed section. We rode around the old Monaghan Mill to get back on the trail. I had Erica set the pace as this was to be an relaxing ride in preparation for a big ride tomorrow. We rode onto Furman where we stopped for a drink from our water bottles, then headed back south. We took Washington across the hump bridge to get around the closed section on the return trip. Over all it was a nice easy ride.
