Today the TR Low Key group was riding from the Dacusville Rec Complex into Northern Greenville and Pickens counties. Most of these roads I have ridden before, but they are little used roads in beautiful country. I drove to Dacusville and found Adam and Becky riding in the parking lot. I rode in the lot for a little bit then we took off. The countryside up there is breathtaking, but some of the hills are as well! Riding 28 miles up there and 28 miles on the Swamp Rabbit Trail are two completely different rides. Those hills are very steep up and very steep down. The temps were in the lower 50s and I was moderately dressed, which left me hot while climbing and cold while going down. I guess that if you're hot and cold on the same ride that you're dressed appropriately. We had great views of Table Rock and the line of mountains from Table Rock to Caesars Head. We rode by Soapstone Baptist Church where I rode two weeks ago and I finally figured out where Miracle Hill Children's Home is located just down the road from Soapstone. We had a good ride and I was pooped once we were back to Dacusville.
