I drove to Cleveland Park and rode about 2 1/2 miles before meeting the group so that I could have a quarter before we finished. Seven of us left the zoo area and headed up the trail - Ken, Kimberly, three-wheeled Steve, and three others that I don't know their names. We fell into a good cadence, but Kimberly and I fell a little off the group. The 5th rider was three-wheeled Steve and he makes me nervous, so I dropped hack to leave room for him. Kimberly was drafting on me as she wasn't feeling well. Ken suddenly stopped the group at a little crossing close to the cafe and nearly wrecked half of us. Then he pulled off again at Sulphur Springs because he felt like Kimberly and I were too far off the back. So I kept going, but never saw the group come out again. So I rode alone until early on the Furman campus when I overtook Elissa. She is a very slow rider, but we rode together up to TR. We turned back south and met Ken and the group once we were south of town. The group was fractured with a couple here and a couple there. We continued to go south until we had passed Sulphur Springs and met officer Mike. Elissa and Mike were carrying on, so after a couple of minutes I told Elissa that I needed to go and headed on south. One of the other riders came on me and we rode together as far as the cafe when he pulled off to use the little boy's room. I rode the rest of the way down the trail and got in my quarter. Even though it was an odd ride, it was a pretty good ride after being put with a nasty cold.
