It rained very hard overnight and left Cleveland Park in a mess again. The Reedy is much more swollen today than last week after the even larger rain. The Falls were very impressive with the river at this level although the rapids below the the falls weren't nearly so aesthetic. After the very cold and heavy rains the sun came out and the wind was blowing very hard. That made for a very exciting ride. In Cleveland Park something was going on at the animal hospital. There were over 20 police cars there. They were mostly county cars, but there were a few city cars, and one Travelers Rest car. I thought that something sinister had happened until I noticed that many of them were K-9 units. They must have had some kind of demonstration or training. The Hincapie Trail was blocked by a downed tree so I couldn't follow it or get to the Y trail. I went to the north end twice and looped around the park until I had my miles in. My speed was way down, but with the heavy wind I expected that to be true.
