I met Erica at a prearranged Jack-In-the-Box to get her to Donaldson to ride the green country ride. Lou planned to be out there ahead of us and do a couple of laps on Perimeter Road then catch us and finish the green ride with us. After we were about 3 miles into the ride I got a call from Lou and he had some trouble and was running late but planned to chase us down. Later I got a call from him and he was off the green course and wasn't sure where it was. We called back and forth a few times and he finally caught us about a mile before we finished. He said that he was toast from sprinting the whole time trying to catch us. Plus he had a "wardrobe malfunction" that put him even farther back. Lou also got stopped by a large dig in the road, but I'm pretty sure that he had missed a turn and was off course then. We saw a large hawk eating a possum along the way and there seemed to be a lot of roadkill along the course as well. Erica was pooped from me dragging her along. I'm really trying to get her attention about wearing bright colors when she rides to be visible. She wore nearly all black again and I couldn't see her in my mirror a lot. Lou calls her the invisible pedestrian and I call her a bike ninja. The wind was surprisingly stout today. Afterward the three of us talked and laughed in the parking lot for quite a while.
