Had to take a week off the bike due to long hours at work but I did get in a couple sessions on the computrainer. Dropped below freezing last night but it warmed up into the forties fairly quickly. Bundled up and thought I was heading out for a cold one but with a cloudless sky and a bright sun it turned into a nice ride. Headed out for Detroit but must have hit some debris as my tire went soft. Sealant stopped the leak but not before it got soft enough to occasionally bump the rim, so I bailed out and headed back for the roost. Had a dog come out for a sprint but I wasn't up for it riding into a headwind with a soft tire so ended up trying to herd my pursuer off the road. She got one good nip in on my drop then tired of me and headed back home. Got back to the roost and injected some new sealant and pumped the tire back up and headed back toward Detroit. Had a good tailwind on the way out and kept a good speed and high cadence all the way to Rugby where I turned back into the wind for the final twenty miles. Both speed and cadence dropped and struggled a little on the way back in but still highly enjoyed the ride with the veiw of the completely blue sky and the sounds of songbirds and peepers. Stayed comfortably warm throughout the ride.
