I was going to ride the white country ride at Donaldson but they are having races out there today. I know that with the nice weather that the SRT will be covered up so I headed to the ICAR planning to take 3 fourteen mile loops to break the 40 mile barrier. I got out there and realized that I hadn't eaten, so I found a place to eat and headed back to ride. I took off and my mirror kept getting out of adjustment. At 3 1/2 miles it suddenly popped off of my glasses. I hunted for that mirror for half an hour and never did find it. I don't see where it could have gone that I couldn't find it, but it's gone. As I finished looking for it I suddenly realized that I had been riding without my helmet! I never ride without it. I can't see out of my left eye and feel very dependent on the mirror, so I headed back for the truck to drive over to the Great Escape and buy a new mirror before I killed myself out there! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
