After work today I headed up the trail with it 30 degrees out. The sun was shining and the wind was fairly calm. I left the house and rode East North to Cleveland Park. I intended to go through Falls park, but I had turned toward downtown before I thought about it. Instead of cutting behind the Peace Center and the TD Stage, but I took a bridge across the river to the north end of Falls Park. When I was almost downtown I saw a plane pulling a large Yamaha banner around downtown. I headed on north on the trail but kept my speed dwon as the cold was biting when I had much speed. About a mile south of Furman there was a large tree down across the trail. I went under the trail and rode to where the trail crosses at Sunrift in TR. I turned back south but stopped at Duke's Doggs for a hot chocolate. Then I went back south. I stopped to take a picture of the downed tree. Then I stopped the the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and had an oatberry shortbread and bought a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie for Cis. I rode from there to Mayberry Park and called Cis to come pick me up at Cleveland Park. In Falls Park I stopped again to take a picture of a millstone that was found in the Reedy River when they cleaned it out. It is in an outdoor picnic area underneath the Main Street bridge. Once in CLeaveland Park I went back around the old dog park and stopped to take a picture of another downed tree that is across the Reedy. Cis picked me up in th park to end a chilly ride.
