Today I left the house to get in another quarter. It is still chilly and very overcast today, but not as cold as yesterday. I felt cold when I went out, but shortly after I started riding I was aware that it wasn't near as cold as yesterday. From the house I rode to Cleveland Park and out the Hincapie Trail. At First Baptist I turned onto Cleveland Street and followed it to the Y and took their path back down to the Hincapie Trail and into Cleveland Park. From there I rode by the F-86 and into West End Park and Falls Park. With the cooler weather I wasn't too worried about the walker and gawker traffic. I took off up the trail. The tree that was blocking the trail at Alley Kats has been cut up and taken away. The Furman girls were playing softball again like yesterday and I thought the score was 3-0 to the visitors. I followed the trail on north to the end and rode to White Horse Extension. I turned back and rode south to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. As I passed the Furman Softball Field I saw that Furman won 4-0. At the Cafe I had a chocolate cupcake with chocolate/coffee buttercream frosting and a cup of hot chocolate. I also bought two oatberry shortbreads for Cis and Heather. I called Cis from there and had her meet me at Cleveland Park to get home.
