Today's Sunday ride was canceled due to rain, but the announcement was very confusing. Ken showed up to lead an unofficial ride and 5 of us took off to ride - Ken, Steve S, Ron and Kim, and me. The ride thrugh Falls Park was very crowded, but things settled down once we were past the park. I rode along talking with different ridiers along the way. Once we went past the railroad car at Furman I shifted out of my small ring to the big ring and my chain jumped and got locked between the small ring and the frame. It took about 5 minutes to get the chain back out. It was locked so tight that we had to drop the rear wheel to get any slack on the chain to get it loose. Once it was loose and back in place we went on and rode to TR and the Forest. I had a cup of dark chocolate raspberry coffee and a parfait. I bought a white chocolate/macadamia cookie to take home for Cis. We rode back down the trail and I had opportunity to talk with Ron, Kim, and Steve. It was a fun ride (minus working on the bike!)
