After work I did a little minor maintenance to see if I couldn't quiet a new clicking and pop that appeared on the last ride. I loosened the screws on the shoe cleats and put a drop of oil on them then tightened them up. Also loosened up the pedals and put a little oil on the threads and tightened them back up. That eliminated about 98% of the clicking, creaking, and popping that I had on the last ride. Erica met me at the Whole Foods parking lot to get in a ride around the ICAR area. I planned to play more "cat and mouse" with her or I told her that it was "cat and rat." But she was being somewhat obtuse about turning around early so that I could chase her down. She did in a few places and she cut off some others places that gave her a big lead for me to chase her down. After the ride with Lou last night my thighs felt dead throughout the ride, but we pressed on and had a pretty good ride.
