Wow! The wind was a killer today. I headed out and up the trail. Ken popped up just south of Blue Ridge and Marsha was just south of Travelers Rest. The wind buffeted me on the ride north until about 4 miles south of TR, then it shifted and pushed me on up the trail. On the southbound portion the wind was absolutely brutal. I stopped at Furman and watched the Paladins play baseball against USCU.. They were down 5-0 after three innings, but had scored a run after another inning. I had a good time talking with Steve, Will, and Becky at the game but left after an inning to get home before dark. The rest of the ride was a battle against the wind, but it was a good ride.
