After work it took a while to gather up enough energy to get out for a ride. I left the house and headed for the park to get on the trail. I had a bad case of DLS and was really struggling to get my legs going. I struggled all the way up the trail, but after I turned around the wind was helping me down the trail and picked things up. While going north I was in a tight set of turns and I heard a gear shift behind me. I hadn't seen and couldn't see anyoner back there, then I heard a free hub idling behind me. Finally someone said something and I was passed by a handcycle. They are very low slung and I am looking behind me with a mirror over my right shoulder, so he was totally hidden from me. He and I chatted a little before he dropped me. I stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and had a banan cupcake with chocolate buttercream icing and a large hot cider. I bought a coconut covered chocolate doughnut for Cis. I rode back to the park and Cis picked me up there.
