Ended up on the Little Miami Trail again outside of Cincinatti. Ride started out cool with temperature hovering around forty but it was predicted to rise into the fifties by late afternoon and then into the sixties throughout the night. Bright sunshine made a world of difference from the last time I rode this trail in November. It was forty degrees then too but it rained a good part of the ride and spent a good deal of the ride experiencing the cold more than the ride. No problems with the weather today though and kept a good spin on the flat rail trail with forty miles of half a percent grade out and the same downhill grade on the way back. Trail was very active today with dozens of walkers and cyclists and even a few roller bladers. Animals were also well represented today with several types of birds spotted as well as a few deer and even a possum running down the trail. Really enjoy the trail but think it would get boring after a while as there are few sections surpassing one percent grade. Sort of like riding rollers but with much better scenery. Still felt good at the end of the ride but was a little overdressed by the end of the ride when I started encountering riders in shorts and short sleeved jerseys. Still a joy to ride on a great surface and not have to worry about auto traffic.
