Caught a good tailwind today for the first twenty miles and felt reinvigorated. Kept a fast cadence and flew down to I-45. Was surprised when I crossed the bridge over the Trinity River as this was the first time in several years I have actually saw the river flowing and could smell the coolness of the water. Usually when I cross it is just a trickle. Second half of the ride into the headwind wasn't nearly as much fun and legs slowed up after just five miles into the wind. Went by a high school that was just letting out and was harassed by young whippersnappers in motorcars as they would pull ahead of me and cut me off then race away. Suppose they could have been just real poor drivers. Wasn't really impressed myself but maybe the young ladies are attracted by rude behavior and acts of stupidity. Got through unscathed and worked my way over the hill from Seagoville and returned in good spirits to Forney.
