Balmy weather has returned again although it doesn't look to stay long. Got out the road bike and headed out into the sunshine to climb some hills. Started out up Odessa hill and tried to keep a steady cadence and good pressure on the pedals. Got half of it done as kept smooth but didn't have the leg and tired well before the crest. Wasn't so bad that I thought about turning around and heading home but it was pretty close. Next fifteen miles to Van Etten was okay with a following crosswind helping me through the rollers. Second climb up Swartout Hill started slow but rallied a little in the middle and again ran out of leg about a mile and a half into the climb. The usually fast return through Erin and Horseheads was not fast today either as the fifteen miles an hour wind was working against me. Even had to struggle to get back down 14N as the wind remained in my face until Pine Valley. Legs were spent by the time I got into the tailwind and limped home. So most of the day my legs were tired and I struggled in the headwind and almost bonked near the end but would rate it as a very fun ride. Just can't best fifty degree weather in February.
