Today Cis drove up to Furman for the third game in the Dayton vs Furman series. I rode to the park to meet thee Sunday group and ride up the trail. There were 7 of us that left together - Jim, Ken, Steve, Bill, Kristy, Tom, and me. The weather was really nice and the park was jammed with people. The trail was very crowded. I saw Bill cut off to get around the mob at Falls Park. i cut off at teh F-86 Memorial to do the same and Ken followed me out. Ken took the footbridge to the top of the park while I rode over behind the Peace Center to River Street. Then we all met back at Linky Stone Park. It took a while before we were all together. While waiting a gal named Mary joined us. We rode up to Bramlett Street and a train was blocking the trail. I turned to the right to take a detour around the train. One by one the whole group followed the detour except Mary who saw someone that she knew and headed back down the trail. We rode along up to Furman where I cut off to stop by the ball game. I stopped in few just a minute and it was tied 2-2 in the top of the eighth. I saw Cis, Beth, and Bill and Nancy whose son graduated several years back. I rode on out of the campus and came up on Ken and Steve. We rode on to the Forest. We were down to 5 by the time we made the Forest as Kristy and Jim both live up there and they went on home. I had a cup of coffee and a slice of chocolate cream pie. We rode back down the trail and the 5 of us kept splitting and riding in odd formations. Once we made it back to town Bill and I cut around Falls Park and we never saw the others again. We waited by the zoo and Bill came up with several other routes that I could make it to work.
