Took yesterday off the bike and went to EPCOT and got a few blisters on my feet in addition to probably adding a couple of pounds of fair food to my girth. Returned to Flagler Beach and repeated last weeks loops between Flagler and Ormond. Wind was more subdued than last time and so enjoyed the ride much more. It was also Bike Week in Daytona and I shared the route with dozens of friendly Harleys. Did much better on the climbs in part due to lesser winds and also had a little speed early in the ride. The ride started up with a bit of ocean fog down the A1A but had a pretty good shoulder and so wasn't too worried about being struck. Fog cleared by the time I reached Ormond and as soon as it was gone the temperature quickly climbed into the desirable eighties. With the wind at my back I crested the intracoastal bridge on SR40 near fifteen miles an hour rather than nine miles an hour I struggled for last week. Had a good first lap speed wise but slowed down a little on the second shorter lap. Had more charge left in the battery at the end of the ride this week and cut fifteen minutes off the previous time. I am still lacking decent speed but at least the miles are getting easier.
