today I headed to Cleveland Park to do the Swamp Rabbit ride with Ken. Paul from work and Erica were supposed to show up - Erica made it but Paul was a no show. There were 7 of us that took off together. Ken, Erica, Rachel, nancy, Bill, and I believe Eric was the final rider. We did the normal ride and Bill turned back at Sulphur Springs Road. At Zfurman I went over to the ballpark to check on the game and the Paladins were down 7-5 in the 7th. Then I tried to hurry through campus to catch the group before they got too far whee of me, but I got stuck behind a dawdling truck. Once off campus I didn't see the group in either direction on the trail, so I assumed that they were ahead and took off to run them down. I made it to the creamery but the group was not there. I turned back south and rode until I met them then we all went to the northern end of the trail. We turned back there and rode back to TR and stopped for a break at the Leopard Forrest. I told Ken that I was back to Furman to catch the end of the game. I got there for the top of the 8th with the Paladins down 8-5. things blew up in the 8th but Furman came back in the bottom of the inning to make it 13-11. Ther was no more scoring and Furman lost 13-11. Then I left and made the trek home.
