Had a rough training session on the computrainer yesterday getting dropped early in the session. Thought I would get outside and do some spinning and hopefully clear out the legs. Fairly warm out but was cursed again with a brisk south wind. Planned on riding up Fitzpatrick hill and seeking some shelter from the wind, but when I got near the bottom my body decided it would rather not do anything stressful like a climb, and I opted to continue the spin into the headwind to Millport. Kept it slow and easy to Millport and climbed the much milder Burch Hill road. Kept the pace on the easy side until Horseheads and it took and hour to cover the thirteen miles to Horseheads. Once I made the turn with the tailwind, I decided I would try to get the average back up to seventeen on the way home and then maybe I'd feel the day wasn't a total wimp out. Did fairly well keeping the speed into the mid-twenties most of the way and tried a sprint into Millport proper that turned out well. Failed though to get the average up to seventeen. I'll blame it on having to slow down for a highway checkpoint by the state boys as my excuse. Fairly good day on the bike but still not feeling up to snuff.
