 Slow Ride
Really great day for riding in mid-March though it was a bit windy. Body seemed a bit low on energy today but not surprising as rode hard yesterday. Planned on climbing into the wind and sailing home but current excess weight convinced me to try something less intense. Rode to Horseheads up SR 14 into a stiff headwind. I've lost the sense of speed I had developed by trading the fat bike for my road bike. Felt really slow today as I rode up the alley with my speed less than half what it used to be when we time trialed the course weekly many moons ago. Just went with it and tried to enjoy the terrific weather. Things got easier when I turned up Middle Road and headed through the rollers toward home. Legs felt fairly strong on the short rolling climbs but tired quickly as my fitness level just ain't what it used to be. It was a fairly enjoyable ride mainly due to the abundant sunshine.
