Andre wanted to combine the ARC group with the ROMP group for a ride this morning. We met at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe to ride to TR for lunch and back. Andre was a no show, but Joe and Michelle were waiting for a group to form up. Karen showed up and the four of us headed north on the trail. It was a very leisurely pace. Joe and Michelle rode ahead while Karen and I brought up the rear. Joe and Michelle waited for us by the railroad car at Furman and when we arrived another rider was down working on his bike. I asked him if he had it under control and he had a broken master link. I gave him my spare master link, he installed it, and was on his way. The rest of the ride up was fairly uneventful. We stopped at the Whistle Stop at the American Cafe for lunch. I had a house salad with wood fire chicken and chipotle ranch dressing. Very good. On the way back I rode about 2/3s of the way with Joe and the rest of the way with Karen. Michelle cut out at Sulphur Springs while the three of us headed back down to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. The three of us chatted for a good while at the cafe parking lot then went our separate ways.
