The shortest (work) day - ever.
The two school districts that were on spring break last week have returned, but the third one I pass through is off this week, so the last few miles of my ride to work was more quiet than normal.

As I was settling into my desk at work and getting things going, Jacque calls me and says she's noticed an issue with one of the tires on the truck. She was planning on doing some errands today, and getting the oil in the truck changed, so I guess I will head back home, address the tire (i.e. put on the spare?) and then work from home the rest of the day.

I left work about 9 AM, and after arriving home, looking at the truck and looking at the maintenance logs, which showed the tires had 80,000 miles on them (a few more than I thought), I decided to get new tires. After checking a couple websites & calling a couple installers, I finally got to the mechanics around 1 PM.

They also did an alignment, after replacing the bearings on the front driver side (adding another hour to the install) and changing the oil/filter I rolled out around 3:30. I ran to AutoZone to get a couple other things I can take care of, then called Jacque about early dinner options, and then went to get the grub. Upon arriving at the restraunt of choice, I heard a loud clunk from the front end. I went ahead & ordered food, and headed home. Then on the way home heard another clunck, so I turned around to head back to the mechanic. Two plus hours later, and replacing the bearings again (wasn't quite tight enough the first time) and re-doing that install & replacing a couple other components, I was heading home again. I had left the dinner in the front seat this whole time, so I stopped by the restraunt again to get a fresh order for Jacque - I don't mind eating my 'cold'.

So the bonus I received last week has been partially allocated, now.
