This morning I drove to Bunched Arrowhead Preserve to ride the Lower DIrty Harry with Adam and Becky. It was a little chilly when I got there, but off we went. Becky cut off after 13 miles to avoid the 1st big climb. The climb was big and slow, but the sweat washed the pollen into my eyes and was blinding me. After the climb we stopped until I could get my eyes cleared. We met Becky going the other way after the climb, then rode back to Tigerville. We caught Becky between Tigerville and Bunched Arrowhead. The 2nd big climb came along the way back. I have made that climb before but it was in the dark and didn't seem so long then! I had a good ride with Adam and Becky. After the ride I drove into TR and stopped at Duke's Doggs to change my clothes and have a dog before going to Furman for an afternoon of baseball. I changed my clothes, put in my order, then took my riding clothes to the truck. I ran into Steve and Tom coming into Duke's. They ordered then the three of us had a good meal together and also a good time with Kristy. I had called Cis to bring my Furman sweatshirt and jeans to the game. I had my park clothes, but I knew that I would be cold. Once at the ballpark I put on my sweatshirt, but left the jeans in the car. I also used the eyedrops that Cis had brought to wash out my eyes once again. Furman played a tough game against Samford but lost 5-3. But that left them with a 2-1 edge over Samford that was picked to win the SoCon this year.
