Had to wait most of the day for the sun to arrive and the temperature to heat up enough to be at least not unpleasant. Winds weren't too bad for March being less than ten miles an hour. Headed out to Dundee with an option of doing Chubb Hollow if the riding was decent. Started out up the first climb and thought things might be a bit rough as I tired early out of the saddle and only got about half the distance I had hoped for. Once in the saddle though I recovered quickly and speed gradually increased as my heart rate started to climb into the business zone. Climb was mediocre at best but found myself riding well into the wind and finally seemed to be out of my slump. Did some quick math and determined that a sixteen to Dundee probably wouldn't be happening what with a north wind and a less than stellar climb. A fifteen on the other hand was entirely possible with a little effort. Rode well into the wind and got my fifteen in the first hour with two or three seconds to spare. Finished off the first section of the ride with last mile of downhill into Dundee and clocked a fifteen four. Nothing spectacular, but it was solid enough that I opted for the Chubb Hollow extension. Kept the pressure on and only flagged a bit on the last small climb out of the hollow. Once I turned with the tailwind, the ride got quite a bit easier. Kept the pressure on the entire distance and ended up with a seventeen four. Only part of the ride I didn't like was riding along the cliffside between Watkins and Montour as it was in deep shade and very chilly this late in the day.
