Temperature climbed into the sixties today, so we opted to ride outside rather than inside on the computrainers. Joe and Steve showed up and we caught a strong tailwind out of Watkins to Glenora. Still trying to maintain a fat burning pace so didn't put too much effort into the climbs. We climbed steady and chatted most of the way. Continued heading north to Starkey and wind started shifting and rain clouds started appearing as a new cold front was moving in. We made the second climb to Dundee with a crosswind then descended into town before turning south and climbing again. Surprisingly caught a strong tailwind all the way back to Montour. Other than the slow climbing sections we were able to keep the speeds in the mid-twenties with very little effort. Turned out to be a pretty fun ride with strong tailwinds for almost the entire route. Unfortunately, the last fortuitous tailwind brought with it more cold air and dampness. Will either be back on the trainer or mountain bike in the woods for the next few days.
