I rode the Trek from the tennis courts and we met at zoo to ride. Five of us left the zoo together - Ken, Keith, Kim, Cato, and me. The parks were crowded with walkers again today. We worked our way though the foot traffic but then Ken slowed down the group once we were clear of the foot traffic. Once we past the pocket park at Sulphur Springs, I took the lead and picked up the pace. I haven’t ridden enough to have my riding legs, but with the recent weight lose I am much quicker, can hold a high pace longer, and can climb better. We stopped at the TReeHouse and I had a cup of decaf, a glass of water, and a fruit cup. I also bought a brownie for CIssi. I led most of the ride back down the trail and tried to keep a good pace. When we got to Cross Fit Trainers I saw Don Y in the parking lot and stopped to show him some pix of Jeff’s RV-6 and tell him about Jeff’s adventures. Don is a cyclist and recently built a Pietenpol, so I knew that he’d be interested in another homebuilt. After talking to Don, I finished the ride alone and added a loop to get over 2 miles.
