 Scurry
Plan for today was an easy cruise since I have a metric century on tap in Texarkana tomorrow. Wind had shifted and was out of the north for a change which benefited me on the first section of the ride. The small hills I have been struggling on were crested at over twenty miles an hour. Climbs appeared to be much easier with a ten mile an hour tailwind as opposed to the usual twenty mile an hour head wind. Kept good speed to Crandall where I decided it might be prudent to back off a bit. Stayed on the main roads to Scurry and rode easily until making the turn up SR 34 and into the wind. Wind was noticeable on the section to Kaufmann but really was quite manageable. Rode the crosswind back through Talty to the finish. Low traffic and lots of green and blossoms made for an easy fifty.
