So I get my Monday Night ride in after all.
The past few months that I've had Strategic Planning Committee meetings on Monday nights, I've riden my bike to work, then to church for the meeting, then on home after the meeting. That would be my plan for today, except that I had dentist appointment this morning to get a crown installed - replacing one that I lost last November.

Well, with the appointment at 9 AM, and having implemented some new software changes for work on Sunday, I 'dialed' into work to check to make sure things were working smoothly for everyone this morning. Turns out there was an issue with one of the support processes, and I had about an hour to get resolution before I needed to walk the 1/2 mile to the dentist office. Long story short: I got the process running smoothly again, and implemented a permanent resolution to the cause of the issue with about 10 minutes to spare. Whew.

The dentist appointment didn't go quite as smooth. I lost the temporary crown last night as I was flossing before going to bed - not a big deal there being less than 12 hours before the real crown is to be installed. However, the real crown was not quite right - it wasn't 'tall enough' to reach all the way up to the gum line, leaving to much room for debris to clutter up there. So, they would have to put another temporary in for a couple days until the supplier can provide another crown in a couple days. So, now I have to come back on Wed to try this all again.

I returned home, and spent the rest of the day continuing to work from home, planning to ride my bike to church for my Monday night meeting. Come to find out, the meeting has been cancelled, so I was able to go out to St Charles and do the usual Monday Night ride (for the 2nd time in 3 days) after all.

Temp was a little better than Saturday, and the wind was about the same speed, but coming from a little different direction. Today the wind was a headwind on the way out, and a tailwind on the way back. My average speed at the half-way/turn-around point was 14.0 mph and with the wind helping push me at 18-22 mph all the way back, thus raising my overall avg to 16.7.
