Sun came out for a few hours and raised the temperature into the upper fifties and that seemed good enough to take a short ride and burn off a few more calories. Unfortunately, despite being thoroughly bundled up, a wicked north-west wind was blowing in a cold stream from the Great White North. Only planned on doing a twenty-mile ride with one decent climb. Things went fairly well as I climbed the first section of highway climb out of Watkins to Reading Center. After reaching Gabriels Junction I turned straight west onto the steeper section of the climb and encountered a wind gusting into the upper twenties. Can't tell how I was climbing but it was slow and painful. Once reaching Reading Center and the halfway point of the ride it should have gotten easier as remainder of ride was mostly downhill to Rock Stream then back to Watkins. Sun disappeared into thick clouds and temperature dropped. Gusting wind kept blowing me around for remainder of ride, and it was most unfun. Got home and regretted riding outside today.
