 From the Riverhouse
Today was the return trip from the riverhouse to Greenville. We got around early and drove to the McDonalds in Royston. We left after eating breakfast at McDonalds at we were riding into the teeth of a stout wind. The wind was the order of the day. We rode straight into it all day. Again we stopped at several convenience stores and McDonalds in Belton. We got stopped for a while about 20 miles from town by road construction. They had about 2 miles down to a single lane and we had to wait for quite a while for a van to lead us through. Then it didn't wait for us and it left us behind on a long steep hill. So we ended up meeting the van on its return trip and it forced us to ride on the construction section. Once back on Piedmont Highway Kimberly rode out and met us. I was lagging behind again so she came and tried to shield me from the wind and allow me to draft. Again I was exhausted when we finished, but it was a good trip.
