 Wind Finally Lets Up
Wimped out of racing last weekend as both races started fairly early in the morning and wind chills were predicted to be in the teens. Almost was shamed into racing on Sunday by Mighty Young Joe, but then he too decided to bow out and I wasted the weekend. Got back out today though and had a decent ride. Had another poor climb up Odessa hill, but ride improved as I hit the rollers on SR 228 with a tailwind and ended up doing some high speed work. It was really the first time this year I've had any speed. Encouraged by the strong riding I had a decent climb out of Mechlenberg and kept good speed for the remainder of the ride. Saw five or six riders out today which is unusual but probably a result of me riding later in the day than usual.
