Fairly nice day out today. Winds were supposed to be blowing hard again today but in reality, they were fairly mild. Had ridden hard yesterday on the final computrainer race and did well but drained the body in the effort. Weight loss is going well and am approaching my second milestone at which I still have to lose weight but must focus only the fat. Actually means I get to eat more calories but still have to run a daily deficit. Decided on doing a short hill course with three decent climbs. Milked the first two mile climb up Dug Road. Did okay on the steeper section but didn't put much effort on anything less than ten percent and average showed it as I reached the top. Did the second step climb through Moreland at a relaxed pace and felt fairly good. Got good speed on the downhill to the third climb up Bronson Hill. Usually suffer on steep section of this one but whether it is the recent weight loss or the relaxed easier climbing, but I had a good climb up to the racetrack. Thought I might be able to get the average up to a respectable fifteen over the final ten miles of rolling and steep descent but failed miserably and it wasn't even close. Just not able to make up for the time lost on the first climb. Still felt pretty good and enjoyed the day and looking forward to better climbing.
