Another windy day on the bike but with it being a south wind at least it was a comfortable eighty degrees. Headed up Old Odessa to start off the ride and then had to decide to turn north and keep climbing with a tailwind or turn south and climb into the headwind. Didn't feel too bad after the first climb though I didn't break any records and was only able to crest at eight point four. Turned south and figured it was better to finish with a tailwind in case I petered out. So headed up Ridge Road. Unfortunately it isn't steep enough to provide much shelter from the wind so it turned into a grind. After six miles of climbing I was still maintaining the eight point four average and had a little satisfaction. Rather than more climbing I bailed off Ridge and onto Middle Road and enjoyed some fast downhill and some rollers as I continued to Horseheads. Had a good tailwind back down the slot but wasn't able to get the average up to fifteen that was a bit disappointing but at least had an enjoyable ride.
