Nice sunshine and fairly warm temperatures but the North wind kept me off the road bike and on the mountain bike. Rode the trail again to Pine Valley and other than the mile it took to get on the trail the wind didn't really bother me. Despite not having leaves yet the trees still provide great protection from the wind. Ride was unfortunately fairly bland. It wasn't unpleasant just a bit monotonous as it is ten miles up at a steady one percent grade turn around and descend on a steady grade. Looking forward to trying some single track on Connecticut Hill but am waiting for my new pedals to get here. They seem to have been resting in a post office in California for five days. Not sure I'll be able to get up there this year as it won't be long before the bugs are so thick up there that it becomes difficult to breathe. Got twenty miles in without getting soaked or frost bit, so I'm calling today's ride a win. Should be back on the road bike tomorrow unless the next rain moves in early.
