Wind has finally died down at least into the single digits. Pleasantly warm day with a mix of sun and clouds made for some good riding. Took a fairly short ride but had one good climb in the mix. Headed into the wind to Watkins then climbed up Stieben St to Irelandville. Plan was to try to stay out of the granny gear and still not have to walk. Fortunately, the steep part of the climb happens at the start and got over it fairly well. The final section between Irelandville and Reading Center is more of a grade than a climb that was into the wind today. It does make it into an eight hundred plus climb over about three miles. I was able to stay out of the granny but still had a pretty poor climb. Once that was out of the way though it was all downhills and tailwinds. Tried to get the average up to fifteen but still don't have the legs to make up for the pitiful climbing though at least it was kind of fun to try.
