I went to Furman at 5:30 to see a 7 p.m. baseball game thinking that I would get in a 15 mile ride before the game. When I arrived the game was in the 6th inning. It was a 4 p.m. game and I hadn't read the schedule properly. The game ended around 7 p.m. but I wanted to ride to the south end of the trail to see how far they have laid the asphalt. They have laid an additional mile and a half. about .3 miles onto the new asphalt there was a tree down across the trail. I rode to where the asphalt ends and turned back. Then I drove to the north end of the CP part of the trail and saw the work going on there. The trail is supposed to be completed for festivities on May 7th.
