I headed over to try the ICAR again today. I thought that the winds had died but I was wrong about that! I left Whole Foods parking lot and turned into the teeth of the wind. I also felt like I had a case of DLS (Dead Leg Syndrome)but pressed on to see how it would turn out. In the past many times that I feel like DLS I end up improving my time or average speed. I believe that tonight is the first time that I have cracked the 15 mph average speed at the ICAR. Of course Erica wasn't with me today so it was a little easier to keep the average speed up. I saw Dennis pedaling several times but never got any farther than waving and yelling "Hey!' across the way. After 5 I noticed that the cycling activity was really picking up. When I drove out through the ICAR there were many cycles along the way. All in all it was a good ride for me.
