Wasn't sure how today would go having not ridden in a week and with only a couple of short rides during the month but ended up having a pretty decent ride. It was a little rainy today but it was warm enough that I thought a little warm rain would be welcome, although I completed the ride without getting wet. Legs were fairly fresh and the mild climbs actually felt like mild climbs. The recent rain has filled out the leaves on the trees and things looked rather lush. The fields are also covered with sheets of Blue Bonnets or Blue Bells-I am not really sure what they are called but they looked and smelled wonderful. I also saw several baby rabbits hopping about which really added to the spring ambiance. Had decent climbing legs and even did a little speed work with a downgrade section in the low thirties late in the ride. Still have a long ways to go to get into decent shape, but it should be easy if the rides stay as pleasant as the one I had today.
