Another day ruled by the south wind. At least with a south wind the temperature is usually in the upper seventies or early eighties. Started off surprisingly well with some decent climbing and some good speed into the wind through the first ten miles of mild rollers. Things got back to normal and slowed way down when I left the trees and went into the open fields below Seagoville where the wind was relentless. Tried to keep a decent pace going so as not to lose my early gains but failed to meet my modest goal. Finished off the twenty miles of headwind and did a couple of miles of crosswind before hitting the big tailwind section. Had a good five miles of speed on East Belt Line before the legs started to tire and I had to back off. Spun the rest of the ride at an easy pace. Decided to add a small loop at the end of the ride since I still felt fairly well and I would still maintain a cross or tailwind. Battery ran down at fifty miles and had to struggle over the last five miles.
